The beautiful Dom Luis I Bridge, a symbol of Porto
The Dom Luís I Bridge spans the Douro River in Porto, a port city registered as a World Heritage Site.
It was completed around 1886.
The Dom Luis I Bridge, designed by Teophile Seyrig, a student of Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, the designer of the Eiffel Tower, is named after the King and Queen of Portugal, along with the Maria Pia Bridge, also designed by Eiffel.
The sheer light grey body is reminiscent of cool rebar, with an orange colour scheme reminiscent of the roofs of Portugal.
This setup was inspired by a bridge seen from above and the scenery.
